Sunday 10th March, 2019: Conforning to Christ image – The Meaning
For the remaining part of this month we shall be focused on our sub-theme, Walking in His Steps: Conforming to Christ image. Rom. 8:29. It is said that when a man chooses to walk in another mans shoes he loses his individuality i.e. the honor due him. Secondly, such a man loses his originality i.e. his power. Thirdly he degenerates into littleness. These assumptions are set aside when the object of imitation has been exceptional in his profession or career. To copy such exceptional persons is considered wisdom. Christ supersedes all humans that have been exceptional one way or the other. Only Christ Jesus does the scriptures declares that all believers are predestined to be conformed.
In what way are believers to be conformed to Christ image? Is it in the outward appearance or inward appearance? Is it in our association with other believers and participation in Church and Church related activities? Is it in the kind of notable Christian family in which we were born? Our worship today would explain explicitly.
